Kentucky Fried Chicken, or KFC, has changed over the years, in many ways, not for the good.  They got bought by Yum Brands. the same group that owns Taco Bell and Pizza Hut and, in many areas, several of these franchises are located in the same physical store.  Yup, the same crew who is mangling your taco is also responsible for the KFC line.  Yum Brands used to own Long John Silvers and A&W as well, if those are any indicator of the company’s commitment to decent food. Keto, Paleo, Gluten Free – Part I

What the heck are we supposed to eat now?  There have always been a million diets and weight loss plans around, probably back to the cave man days.  Life may have been easier when the Rubenesque form was more the ideal look but today everybody wants to look like the latest cover model, male or female.  Never mind that the photo on the cover has been altered and tuned to provide a look that really never occurs in life.  So the question really becomes “Do any of these diets make sense and why?”

Making Perfect Rice

Mr. Cracker set out to make some fried rice to go with dinner for Mrs. Cracker, and the first step is making just plain rice so you can later stir fry it.  Naturally, needing to make the rice perfect for Mrs. Cracker, he checked his recipe for making rice, which he thought had always been equal amounts of rice and water, some salt and then bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes.
